When installing a patio, pool deck, or Outdoor Living Space in Cleveland, Ohio you need to consider whether you would like to utilize concrete for your patio project or pavers for your project. Here are some things for you to consider before you start your project.  For more information or to request a free quote, contact Baron Landscaping at 216-430-0272.  For additional pictures and projects, visit our photo gallery.

After carefully evaluating your project for a patio, in-ground pool area, driveway, and/or walkway, for your Northeast Ohio home, you will then be ready to decide if pavers or concrete is the best product for your project. Keeping in mind that concrete is installed in large, solid slabs, and although has the advantages of stamped patterns, rough- safety textures for greater accessibility for those with disabilities, or acid-stains; pavers are interlocking tiles of concrete.  You should keep in mind that living in Cleveland, Ohio, we have the winter season which sometimes puts Spring time smack dab in the middle of it with warmer weather than back to the freezing cold.  The constant freezing and thawing does not bode well when you look at concrete as an option.  Pavers has a number of these same features as well as concrete does, however;  with pavers, should one or a few become damaged, you just need to replace the one, not the entire slab. Pavers also offer the flexibility of both colors and architectural appearance options, including many shapes and sizes.

If you are considering a paver patio, however; your space available is modest, perhaps consider an intimate setting paver patio which might include a fire feature.  This cozy area also includes a seating wall for additional guests as well as lighting within the wall for both atmosphere and safety.  Enjoy star gazing from your patio on those clear Cleveland nights, while being kept warm from your “bonfire” in your fire pit.
